Thousands of young Western Sydney students have declared a resounding ‘YES’ to ensuring a sustainable Australia for all after a successful three-day Youth Eco Summit at Sydney Olympic Park.
Incredible speeches on diversity, loneliness, teachers, success from failure, electricity and the importance of living in the moment have moved students, staff and families to cheers, and some tears, at the 2023 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Voice of Youth public speaking finals.
Beginning teachers, new school principals and leaders gathered for a moving celebration at St Patrick’s Cathedral Parramatta as Bishop Vincent Long and Parish Priests blessed and welcomed Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese staff to their new roles.
The energy was high as more than 400 students from 24 schools across the Diocese of Parramatta attended LIFTED Live Jr at Wests HQ, Rooty Hill on Thursday 19 May.
