Year 2 have been experimenting with plants in class recently by looking at how missing nutrients, water, warmth and sunlight change how they grow.
The students have planted new seeds to see the difference in how they will grow if something important is missing. They also looked at how water travels through roots and stems of various plants.
It is also exciting to see some of our broad bean plants growing!

Congratulations to Jude (Year 4) who attended the Primary Sport Parramatta Diocese Cricket trials today and was selected in the team to compete at the MacKillop Trials in Wagga Wagga later this month. Jude was selected for a team of 12 out of 80 children. A sensational effort Jude, we are so proud! 🏏

Nagle College Launches New STEM Scholarship for Future Innovators
Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the “Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship”, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). 'Year 4 Energy Day Incursion with Fizzics Educators' On Wednesday, our students investigated electrical energy production from renewable and non-renewable resources. The activities covered a range of topics including wind farms, hydrogen fuel cells, the Snowy Mountains Scheme, how to reduce energy consumption in the home and the difference between ozone depletion and the enhanced greenhouse effect.
