Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese has entered into a 2 year partnership to offer an on-site class at St Angela's Primary School Castle Hill dedicated to students with disabilities.

The new class will be delivered through a partnership with St Lucy's School, Wahroonga, a leading Catholic school for students with disability.

St Angela’s is part of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD), 80 great local schools across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. This pilot initiative underscores CSPD’s commitment to inclusive Catholic education and ensuring all students can thrive within a supportive community environment. It reflects the shared commitment within the Catholic education sector to enhance educational opportunities and leverage the specialised expertise of institutions like St Lucy's to meet the needs of local families.

"This partnership with St Lucy's is a true reflection of our mission to share the gift of Catholic education with all members of our community," said Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese CEO Jack de Groot. "By bringing this specialised, high-quality program onsite at St Angela’s Primary, we are strengthening our commitment to inclusion and providing a nurturing environment where all students can reach their full potential."

“St Lucy’s is thrilled to be bringing our mission to St Angela’s and to provide outstanding education for students who have special education needs,” said David Raphael (Principal), “We have a long history of successful and meaningful satellite programs, and we are looking forward to this new collaboration with St Angela’s and the CSPD”.

"For St Angela’s students, staff and families, this will be a wonderful partnership and opportunity to learn alongside and support children with diverse learning needs,” St Angela’s Primary Principal Leanne Nettleton said. “It will build on the spirit of welcome and inclusion that is so much a part of our school.”

Zone Swimming Carnival Success! What an incredible day for our St Angela’s swimmers at the Zone Swimming Carnival held at the Parramatta Aquatic Centre! Our students represented our school with pride, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship. We are thrilled to share that many of our swimmers have progressed to next week’s Diocesan Carnival, a fantastic achievement and a testament to their hard work and commitment. Across all events, our students gave their very best. From strong dives to impressive finishes, every swimmer showed courage, effort, and true team spirit. It was wonderful to see students cheering one another on and celebrating every achievement. Congratulations to all our competitors, and thank you to our families for your support. Well done, St Angela’s! Let your light shine!

Our Davinci Decathlon Champions enjoyed a fabulous day of challenging thinking and problem solving, coming away with Ist Place in the Mathematics task and 3rd place in the Legacy task. Congratulations to our clever students who worked collaboratively to think outside the square and apply their knowledge across 10 different disciplines as they competed against the clock and with teams from other schools. Thank you to Santa Sophia College for hosting such a great event. St Angela’s will definitely be back next year. Thank you to Mrs Fisher, Mrs Mirabello and Mrs Orsini.
